FIRST BAPTIST LEGACY ADULT MINISTRY

There are over 1000 Legacy Adults here at First Leesburg.
The Legacy Ministry at FBC is an active one where Adults from age 55 and up are involved each week in ministry and service throughout the church. There are a variety of programs and ministry opportunities at First Baptist. All designed with the purpose of meeting the various needs for today’s Legacy adults, as well as reaching them for Christ.

55+ Singles Group

Men and women who are 55+ single, widow/widower, divorced, please join our group for fun activities such as game nights, movie nights, potlucks, and outings.  Watch the Bulletin or First Connect for information or contact Karen to be added to the email list to stay current on what is happening in this ministry.

Bible Study Groups

Each Sunday over 400 Legacy adults attend the various Bible Fellowship classes at First Baptist.

Ministry Opportunities

A variety of ministry opportunities are available here at First Baptist. Our seniors lead the way when it comes to volunteering for programs, events, counseling, and more. They truly are the “heartbeat” of the ministry.

Helping Hearts Residential Care Ministry

Our teams visit different residential care ministries Sunday through Wednesday. We bring a Bible lesson, sing the great hymns of faith, visit and share Christ. If you would like to join us, please let us know. Please contact church office if interested in helping in this ministry.

Missions

There are plenty of mission opportunities in our state, the US, and internationally. First Baptist has taken trips to North Georgia, Western Asia, Guatemala, Uganda, East Asia and Cuba.

Legacy Connections

Everyone invited to join Pastor Tony on Mondays, January 22-April 15, from 1:30-3pm at the South Campus for a study on the I AM Statements of Jesus in the book of John. Note: Class will not meet on March 11.

G.E.A.R.

This group is for men to meet for fellowship (light refreshments served), and Bible study on Thursday mornings, January 11-March 28, from 7:30-8:30am in the Downtown Campus Parlor (B-111). Note: Class will not meet on March 14.
